The
technical adviser of the tournament, the former world champion among seigneurs
has celebrated his anniversary on Grand Prix in Nalchik. In the talk with
official tournament site reporter Elina Rahaeva he has explained what place
chess takes in his life.
– By the
way I have never been a professional player. I easily graduated from the University,
than 12 years worked by a trade of the engineer and at the age of 30 started
playing chess. Now I continue to work as the trainer. And I have quite good
pupils. All the members of my family are chess players. My father was the
champion of area (I watched his game and gradually joined), my wife is also a chess
player. And our daughter has gone on our steps...
More often
I am the arbiter in female tournaments, I have seen much and I can compare. I
could tell that female chess strongly differs from the man's. It’s not good and
not bad, but it is. On this tournament the leader Zhao Xue has shown really
"man's game". Such a great result is feasible not to each grandmaster...
I want to thank the representatives of FIDE and the local organizers. On this
tournament the conditions for the participants are perfect. I think it is a
merit of FIDE, they have already understood how necessary is to organize such
actions. Also it was very pleasant to talk to the participants because they are
really very nice and polite.
